Dance with sables.

“Dance with sables” was carved from the walrus tusk. The feature of the walrus tusk is three layers. There are white, ivory and coarse-grained layers. The last layer isn’t good for carving, the others are perfect. When I created this sculpture I was inspired by the image of Tsarina Tamara and the melody “Dance with sables” which was written by Aram Hachaturyan.The height is 24 cm, 2003.
