The Greek-Roman philosophical school  existed for more than 500 years. Zenon was the first founder, who worked up Utopia of a world-state were all people would be equal in rights and freedom. His followers systematized Old-Stoical philosophy. The center of this philosophy was ethic. Virtue cannot be inborn, but it can be educated. The ideal of a wise-stoic is imperturbability and calmness. Everything without exception is predetermined before and can be predicted. Ideas of Aristoteles, Plato, Seneka, Epiktetos, Marcus Aurelius and etc. constituted the basis of this philosophy. They tried to bring to people consolation by means of worldly wisdom. Christianity assimilated many of Stoics’ religious concepts.
